Poems by Mitko Gogov

The Forgotten Retort between Two Gazes

And so we role-play clockmaker and time

Both with hammers aimed at mutiny’s head

And a clock is a bigger bastard than both man and everlasting sun

As we forget burnt words and human dust

Ugly tongues and nasty minds

They drag the lent of the soul

The inner voice doesn’t (ever) go out,

Like angels’ dander or hell’s gasoline it just booms

Skip the small lightning bolts

Twist the lowest mountains

The force of forever would, like a mother to her son,

Bind

And barely ever

Alienate

In the rood of our heads

Like snails

We hide our true home

Not realizing that the slime of our soul

Leaves traces of disquiet in our sleep

We keep the stars in our hands,

Why is it when we throw them

They strike like heavenly boulders?

Stones have learned to resound

#poetry – tell me about it?!

:I like that this list has suggestions for all sides – organizers, readers, and listeners. Doug Anderson made a great job with this short but important way how to put all d things in proper line. what do u think? 🙂

poetry-image

  • .how to have a #poetry reading:

1) find a venue that is quiet enough so that the words can be heard. turn off all electronics.
2) order the poet’s books months in advance so that they will arrive on time.
3) consult the poet about publicity materials, bio, etc., because much of what is online is out of date.
4) pay the poet if possible, and if not, treat him/her with the utmost respect by doing the above.

  • .how to be a poet at a poetry reading:

1) show up on time.
2) show up sober
3) don’t be an asshole (e.g.; bitch about who’s going to read first).
4) don’t say nasty things about the poet reading with you.

  • .how to attend a poetry reading:

1) it is about listening. so listen.
2) don’t bring children who are too young to enjoy the reading and who will make noise.
3) turn off your cell phone
4) don’t talk during the reading; the poet is not a television set.
5) buy the damn books!

This is UNBELIEVABLE! They look and dance like real life angels. Very nice, beautiful!! Very very extraordinary …. Nice dancing, I love the whole idea! so creative. Amazing mix, combination of dance, music, electronic technology, then guides u trough spiritual experience, almost surreal and dreamy like perfect hologram of our imagination.

Afesome Japanese Performance Art Troupe Enra .. no words can describe d feelin’, don’t even want to try to imagine their real show!

Last night remarkable story happened to me, unpredictable, so that’s d reason why I’m here after a while. So, here’s d storY:

I write a project that we need to apply today and while I prepare d documents I open d link from our partners from Spain. Our Bulgarian partner sent me d link. We are project partners in this project with my organization KONTEXT. But d story will not be for d project but for something else that I find enormously GREAT, something that inspire me a lot.

* * *

iniAnd I press d link for Isla CreActiva, Sociocultural Association from Spain and after a while I recognize part of one poster design that I made few years ago. It is part of their home/ front page and surprised me a lot.

I almost forgot about this poster. Actually I designed it as a part of d celebration of d VOLUNTEER DAY and I wrote a post about. It’s great when u create something and u post it on ur blog and few years after u see ur art piece as part of some community, group, web page, portal, association. The name of d post that I wrote in that time is :International Volunteer Day & voila participation, and is actually December 5th, 2011.

When I opened d site for first time I did not notice, I began to use their categories, history, their actions, what kind of projects have done, but even then I recognized the font of the letters which I had chosen. Piece of d poster poster d organization is using as a header which publicize  and promote d European program Youth in Action.

volunteer

I am grateful to this whole situation, to my emotions, to d coincidence in d universe. To find someone by accident with someone that u do not know at all, to be a partner organization with someone from Spain who previously share something from u and is dialing a partnership with you in some way even though unconsciously, along the line of the same sensibility, creativity and message. I say coincidence but I am not sure, maybe is not only coincidence, maybe is about real connections, cosmic ones. who knows?! anyway d whole situation is magical, motivational, really incentive.

Hopefully this project that we will apply now will go well and we meet in future and I tell them d story in real time. For sure they will be surprised. 🙂

Thanks Emi (BYF) for d link! This is d poster ~ 🙂
