PEN International’s Writers for Peace Committee
Statement on the Catalan Referendum

3 October 2017

We, the Writers for Peace Committee of PEN International, express our grave concern over the events that marred the show of democratic will by the people in the recent Catalan referendum. The scenes of armed, masked police officers assaulting peaceful citizens of all ages should be a matter of shame for the Spanish Government, as is the lack of a meaningful response from the Council of the European Union.

The action would be outrageous in any society; however, this is especially so in a country that has prided itself on emerging as a democracy from dark days of civil war and dictatorship. As Writers for Peace, we are deeply concerned that the political and actual wounds of those decades should not be re-opened.

We deplore the violence used by the forces of the Spanish state against the people of Catalonia on 1 October 2017.

We believe that a dispute between governments can never be a just reason for unleashing violence on peaceful citizens seeking to give their opinion through voting. Neither can an order from a court be the reason to use excessive force to prevent the free and legitimate expression of dissent. We believe that in this case, the force used was excessive.

We demand that the right to freedom of expression, whether it is exercised through voting, speaking or writing, be respected by all branches of state authority. We call on all EU Institutions and in particular on the European Parliament to remind Spain of the limits that the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights and the European Convention on Human Rights put on its actions.

Е.Н. центар

My comment:

We all share the compassion and the deep revolt produced by watching the pain inflicted by the “form” of police brutality, or with the way how democracy is crumbling worldwide. The least we can do is to make open call like this, in a peaceful way, for clearing all the problems of this type. Barbarism should not be a trend of the 21st century, on the contrary … As much as we speak about peace, justice and sustainability, what we see is totally the opposite. We became from day to day, more and more bad version of humanity. Stay blessed and thanks for this very important PEN statement!

Maybe u are part of d people that are expecting something big to happen or something that will make some total shift of d common perspective that we have now, someone are thinking that is regular cosmical overlapping, spiritual change that is happening on some other level, more known for d spiritual seekers.

w2

Anyway, it’s still a date that should be remembered, for some is d day when the first teeth appear for their baby, for some is regular birthday, for some is new life.. maybe first, maybe some of d lines. It was last day in material body for our great music virtuous Ravi Shankar.

w312. 12. 12 will be remembered in good and bad as every typical day of d year, except for those who’ll decide to make change. To make d first move, to make d first step, to do d shift, to be d difference. There are thousands of groups out there that are organizing group meditation, bringing together d idea for better tomorrow and brighter future. 12.12.12 is the last of the repeating dates in this century, what will be the astrological influence of the date or what will happen to children born on that day we can just pretend that we know, d only thing that I’m sure we all feel: there is some change!

World is discussing the significance of 21/12/12 as signaling the end of the world, The Apocalypse or Judgment Day. The true meaning of apocalypse is “unveiling of hidden secrets”, not a catastrophic end of the world.

w1The numbers 12/12/12 which adds to the magical number 9 symbolizes spiritual growth, rebirth, progress and prosperity. Apart from the various schools of thoughts about the Mayan calendar ending on 21/12/2012, healers, energy workers, light workers (those who work on the Aura) are slowly coming together geographically and telepathically to channelize and project energy globally with the intention to cleanse and protect the universe from negative energies. At a global scale it symbolizes the end of the world as we know it (extremely high rate of natural calamities, crime, etc) and the beginning of a New Age. As per the Hindu belief, we are in the Kalyug, an age which is identified with all that is bad. Even astrologically, the number 9 is extremely significant. The nine Goddesses, nine planets in a horoscope all symbolize the significance of this magical number. So, the New Age or Navyug would symbolize new beginnings at a spiritual, financial, social and personal scale.

w4

You can join d project “One day on earth” that aims to collect movies from all world that will present what are they doin’ or where do they come from? What they have to share, to inspire …

So, one more time, just for all of us to remember is that 12. 12. 12 is d last major numerical date using the Gregorian or Christian calendar for almost another century. The next time three numbers will align as they did on 9-9-09, 10-10-10 and 11-11-11 will be on Jan. 1, 3001, or 1-1-1.

Three hundred couples were married in a mass wedding in the Philippines, thousand are meditating, someone are smiling and trying to bring joy and happiness in their daily life, maybe this is d change that we are talking about, most of d time people expect huge, megalomaniac stuff to be on d news so they will all be able to figure out that something’s going on. Yes, it’s a miracle! ❤

YOU, maybe want to join d master shift?

Second Annual Worldwide Event

Includes Musicians and Poets Striving for Global Change

~

This Year’s 100 Thousand Poets for Change Adds Musicians;

600 Events Planned in More Than 110 Countries

_____

Santa Rosa, Calif. (July XX, 2012) – September 29, 2012 marks the second annual 100 Thousand Poets for Change, an event that brings poets, artists and musicians (new this year) around the world together to call for environmental, social, and political change. Voices will be heard globally through concerts, readings, workshops, flash mobs and demonstrations that each focus on their specific area of concern, within the framework of peace and sustainability, such as war, ecocide, racism and censorship.

“Peace and sustainability is a major concern worldwide, and the guiding principle for this global event,” said Michael Rothenberg, Co-Founder of 100 Thousand Poets for Change. “It’s amazing to see how many people have joined in around the world to speak out for causes they believe in, and to see so much heart and creativity expressed in their diverse approaches to this event.”

Participants are hoping, through their actions and events, to seize and redirect the political and social dialogue of the day and turn the narrative of civilization towards peace and sustainability. Those that want to get involved can visit www.100tpc.com to find or plan an event near them.

“This grass roots movement has arisen largely due to the impact of social media,” said Co-Founder Terri Carrion. “We’re really excited about the events we’ve got planned this year.”

Poetry and peace gatherings are also planned in strife-torn countries like Syria and Afghanistan as well. In Cairo and Alexandria, Egypt, poets, musicians and mimes will perform in public spaces and theaters. In Kingston, Jamaica an entire week of concerts, spoken word performances, lectures and workshops will address literacy issues in the country.

100 Thousand Poets for Change began in Sonoma County, Calif. The headquarters’ event will take place at the Arlene Francis Center in downtown Santa Rosa and will feature live poetry readings, workshops and various styles of music and dance including hip hop, flamenco, African drums, reggae and more. The event will also live-stream other 100 Thousand Poets for Change events worldwide and is sponsored by the Peace & Justice Center and Sonoma County Arts Council.

Immediately following September 29th, all documentation on the 100TPC.org website will be preserved by Stanford University in California, which recognized 100 Thousand Poets for Change in 2011 as an historical event, the largest poetry reading in history. They will continue to archive the complete contents of the website, 100TPC.org, as part of their digital archiving program LOCKSS.

CREATIVITY starts from a BELIEF,

SUCCESS comes from an ACTION.

THINK like when you are still a kid …

NEVER GIVE UP …

Tomorrow will always be better

It’s probably blog day for me since I update few of them that I have, but d main reason why I decide to post here on this blog is that this thing that I’ll share here is connect with my work and with d reasons why I become active youngster and youth worker nowadays.

This is inspirational video that was shared in my fb stream from one of d NGO leaders in Macedonia, friend of mine, best promoter of our country, Aleksandar Bogatinov. We need to have sense of responsibility in this system, in d society we live, this is d way how to follow our ‘dreams’. Society needs leaders that will improve the community, what you put in will come back to you. We need to make positive changes in this society, this is the method how to learn this things.

Faith without action is dead!

Be what you are. This is the first step toward becoming better than you are.

  • ∙ Cyberspace is free speech of the netizens, for the netizens and by the netizens and all the politicians can go jump in a virtual lake!
  • ∙ The Internet did not invent free speech. In a very real sense … free speech invented the Internet.
  • ∙ It is true that in cyberspace you may suppress most of the people some of the time; you can even suppress some of the people all the time; but you can’t suppress all of the people all of the time.
