:тime for new Samsara. year 2012

“Visually breathtaking. Unlike anything you will ever see.” IndieWire

“The stunning new trailer for Samsara offers a tantalizing peek at the dozens of exotic locations visited by the filmmakers in their quest to capture the ‘ever turning wheel of life’ on Earth.”

If you are familiar with the stunning and transcendent visual poetry of Ron Fricke’s non-narrative documentary BARAKA (1992), his follow up film SAMSARA might interest you as well!  He filmed everything with 70mm film so I will no doubt be gorgeous.  I would write more about this, but part of the magic of Fricke’s films are that they have to be seen and experienced, and preferably in a giant theatre.  Here is the trailer.

A spiritual love-story set in the majestic landscape of Ladakh, Himalayas. Samsara is a quest; one man’s struggle to find spiritual Enlightenment by renouncing the world. And one woman’s struggle to keep her enlightened love and life in the world. But their destiny turns, twists and comes to a surprise ending.

Release date August 23, 2012. Samsara – Filmed over a period of five years in twenty-five countries on five continents, and shot on 70mm film, Samsara transports us to the varied worlds of sacred grounds, disaster zones, industrial complexes, and natural wonders. “Samsara” is a sanskrit word meaning “continuous flow”; it is the repeating cycle of birth, life, death and rebirth (reincarnation) within Hinduism, Buddhism, Bön, Jainism, Yoga and Sikhism.

SAMSARA is a Sanskrit word that means “the ever turning wheel of life” and is the point of departure for the filmmakers as they search for the elusive current of interconnection that runs through our lives.  Filmed over a period of almost five years and in twenty-five countries, SAMSARA transports us to sacred grounds, disaster zones, industrial sites, and natural wonders.  By dispensing with dialogue and descriptive text, SAMSARA subverts our expectations of a traditional documentary, instead encouraging our own inner interpretations inspired by images and music that infuses the ancient with the modern.

The V motion project has succeeded in musical madness, where the music dances to your movements rather than the other way around. “Can’t Help Myself” is the result of The V motion challenge’s ambitious task of developing and producing a music track using only the movement of a dancers body. After months of slaving behind some of the most complex audio gadgetry ever seen, artists and technicians alike have collaborated to produce a truly unique multimedia musical experience.

The Motion Project was a collaboration between a lot of clever creative people working together to create a machine that turns motion into music. The client for the project, Frucor (makers of V energy drink), together with their agency Colenso BBDO, kitted-out a warehouse space for this project to grow in and gathered together a group of talented people from a number of creative fields.

Have u think about d future of dj-ing, maybe? As I have some experience in playing some electro, psy music I was really imagining  (since I was kid) that this can maybe be our future, not only in d music but d in d whole communication with d modern (smart) technology. Our body for sure can be used in d new methods, this is only one of d ways how, imagine if we start using our brain only! 😀

Here’s the official music video for “Can’t Help Myself” shot on the streets of Auckland, New Zealand when The V Motion Project team created music through movement. Using movement to create music… What an amazing and inspirational idea! *technorgasm*

“We created and designed the live visual spectacle with a music video being produced from the results. We wanted it to be clear that the technology was real and actually being played live. The interface plays a key role in illustrating the idea of the instrument and we designed it to highlight the audio being controlled by the dancer. Design elements like real time tracking and samples being drawn on as they are played all add to authenticity of the performance. The visuals are all created live and the music video is essentially a real document of the night.”

:I haven’t think about posting or writing about music on my blog but always their is first time and d music I choose for first blog post come into my stream few weeks ago and since then I probably listen it once per day. so let’s brake d glass..

I first time listen this amazing band, actually MUSICIAN when I saw that link and for me this music is somehow unique. .. and reminds me a bit of Paris. those quiet walks with some noise in some moments, similar like this orchestra sounds that fulfill me in this moment.

Summary: “A renowned director writes orchestral folk? Certainly worth checking out, if for the title track and accompanying video alone.
.
Yoann Lemoine (born 1983) is a French music video director and film director. His most notable works includes Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream, Taylor Swift’s single Back to December and Mystery Jets ‘Dreaming of Another World’.

Lemoine has gone on to create music, and is an alternative indie artist, going by the stage name Woodkid. On March 28th, 2011, Woodkid released his first EP for his single, Iron. The song was featured in a trailer for Ubisoft’s game Assassin’s Creed: Revelations.

:I like this piece of art, short video. .. in d last few hours I watched maybe more then 10 times and I think it deserves to be here as part of my blog. Dark, mystic, slow motion, experimental . .. only d first impressions after u watch it.

.

Compiled over the past year, the duo’s film work traverses the wilds of April Base, the Wisconsin studio of Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon. Trundling through rich forest landscapes and ephemeral, sculptural environments, the films’ pure visual moments mesh with graceful digital effects, creating entangled shrines and smoke-filled twilights. At its root, the work deals with themes of space–both external and psychological.

.amazing post-production, surrealistic, dreamy landscapes, noisy flashes. Isaac Gale & David Jensens film :This is Not a Place

:I don’t know why but I find this dance very special, metamorphose between d old traditional singing, rhythm and d dynamic of d contemporary dance, clothes, act. .. communication via body language. the symbioses flies in d space with d voices, with d composition so oriental but  transferred/ presented so modern. Flashes, pictures that illustrated specific times, and audience that absorbs all of this like travelers on train station.

the light give a bit theatrical, chamber vibe to this whole performance, and d dynamic between d scenes, also as d whole scenario were amazing. Perfect combination of music, silence, whispers, singing, physical theater, opera etc..

is this d east trying to send positive signal from d center of d culture in Europe, Paris? – for me, in this message there was so much love, deep understanding & dialog that was typical exotic as d eastern culture itself. Playful, enjoyable, positive, hope u’ll enjoy it as I do!

I like one of d comments under d video:

Fabulous!! It brings back rea;ameoried of my many years In Iran researching their fasdcinating ceremonies and dances of mystic, tribal, courtly and urban origin.

Wonderul artists with depth of expression and technique and a great contrast with the two exceptional singer/dancers.

Tiny Noise Festival

Повеќе за line up-от може да се види на www.tinynoise.com , a има и некои фотографии на picasaweb/Not That Kyd.
Како и да е во суштина имаше добар настан и останатите артисти беа добри и се ќе се завршеше добро ако не се појавеше полицијата и не ја заврши журката околу 11:30 часот што значи половина час порано од предвиденото.
