#100TPC – Something more than just [poetry] conference

Well, 10 days since I returned from the first world conference organized by the global movement 100 Thousand Poets for Change and as the days are passing by more and more memories of beautiful moments from there are crossing trough my mind.

amazing

Italy. It is always good to visit Italy. Although I have been several times, and the reason has always been art and Italy as one of the oldest civilizations in Europe shows that it can constantly be Medina of culture, and in this case a great country hosting the first world conference of the global movement “100 Thousand Poets for a change.” This case was special, not just because it is summer and not only because in summer the sea is beautiful. This time the cause of this trip was to be a special participation in the conference which certainly change my life. You may ask yourself how? In many ways, of course.

conference

First of all because the conference was an event that was organized for the very first time and I had the opportunity to meet many of the organizers around the world who create their own movement, its own events in their own countries and cities, which are part of the mission and the main purpose, aim of this unification and world poetry networking. This space would be small to share with you all the impressions of the trip, but it is important to emphasize that this movement and the people that are involved in it have demonstrated continuity of the mission and demonstrated his enduring goal: awakening of civilization for all separate problems coming from certain parts of the Earth. It is a wonderful feeling to meet poets, writers, artists and activists from many parts of the planet, the range is colorful, great respect for the representatives from Ghana, Nigeria, Mexico, India, Egypt, Australia, many parts of America, Europe, Africa and Asia but also a great sadness to learn about those who could not be present, could not attend because of their visa problems – a topic that was one of the most important of the conference, ie the right for free movement for all the people in the world.

wow

Being part of an event where you totally recognized your function and somehow you show your place in the society circle is “in small hand” (at least) creative and inspiring, but as well motivating, because I had the opportunity to speak about the problems that are facing our country and being heard from many who empathized and have the power of thought to stepping forward and face their environment with problems that are not (in) away from them. Talks with like-minded people are always welcome, and this time I had the opportunity to hear the problems of the others, at the same time to help in solving them with my opinion, similar experience or knowledge.

Roundtables, debates, screenings, performances, poetry readings, learning about the environment, visits to major (historical) places, tours, the whole plethora of activities have made this conference important for each participant and representative of their local activities related to the main mission of this movement.

11412158_10152862280936615_6342000450113045817_n

It is unique ability and desire to enter the core of the most important problems we are facing, that hurt us, to reach deeper to the basics of problem solving, to locate the essential tools and techniques that can solve some scars that we make as civilization, yes, to touch the heart of another, to recognize a friend, to store the new, valuable friendship and to seed hope that this is just the beginning. That’s what this movement has provided and for which we all care.

So much love, so much understanding, coexistence, mutual laughter, joy, singing, dancing, glee, celebrating poetry and word – so much beauty in one place. Salerno – warm piece on Earth with excellent hosts and organizers, with outstanding people and friends.

I wish this lasts longer, or to be able to bear more books at home, to be able to hear much more of the poetry that was read. I’d love to have more time to dedicate to everyone individually, to spend more time with everyone so I could meet with everyone personally, but for sure we create a bridge of friendship, we plant joy and we grow love.

yes

The voice of the poet may be suppressed by the roar of the crowd, but there is also the unique opportunity to be a force that will flood the crowd with truth. The truth that comes with the lyrics will never be in crisis, poetry always finds the right readers, while using the reflection of the poet’s life we grab the opportunity to recognize the whole big picture, the one that anyone can see as mirror of the (inner) world. “Prose expresses what (how) it is; and poetry what (how) should it be.” The poet perhaps have no force to solve the problems that plague the world, but for sure can write the road-map to address them!

Till the next time friends, it was a great pleasure to be part of this conference! ❤

:as u can read in my small bio here I already mention that I’m pretty much interested in film and cinema and have d small experience behind with few docs & experimental movies. my projects also as projects of bigger film directors then me as part of d team. seven years already I’m part of d Tiberiopolian FILM Alliance – Institute for Shorts & Docs [btw the call is open u can sent ur movies] and have been visiting film festivals and projection that are for respect in every way.

but, why do I write this post today, even u can be a film maker if u start using ur mobile camera, really there are festival for mobile movies.. but d point is that, Today is d International Day of Cinema, yes December, 28.

“Film as dream, film as music. No art passes our conscience in the way film does, and goes directly to our feelings, deep down into the dark rooms of our souls.” – Ingmar Bergman

Cinema! Can you imagine your life without movies? In March, 1895 the brothers Lumiere presented Cinematograph – a new device for showing films and got a patent for it. But the first open display happened on December 28 of the same year and this date is considered as the birthday of the cinema. This remarkable event was held in the Parisian cafe in Parkway Kaputsinov, where Lumieres presented the first short-footage movie “Arrival of a train on station La Sota” to the general public (not for free, it was the first film shown to people for money). This performance caused panic – spectators were frightened, that a train will crush them. The entrance fee to the historic film screening was 1 franc. 35 tickets were reportedly purchased. Each film was 17 meters long, which, when hand cranked through a projector, ran approximately 50 seconds. From that moment, regular film screenings began, accompanied by a piano or a saxophone. The motion pictures were sometimes also accompanied by text below the images. Modern technologies increased the quality of the films and different effects much.

“This is the best thing we can do. And we are proud of it”, said the Lumiиre brothers of their invention.

.
.sometimes we just need to celebrate d things from d past how we’ll open space for new celebrations.. for new project, movies, festivals. In Macedonia d cinema history start with Manaki Brothers, primary artist that start d experience with photography in that time, but beside the work in their photo-studio and shooting with their photo and film Camera 300, the Manaki brothers were also showing films. The first film in their new Cinema “Manaki” under open sky in “Wide Street” was held in 1921. The “Cinema Garden” was a temporary solution that did not satisfy the brothers. They later built a Cinema House and the first projection there, was on the first of December 1923. The Cinema worked with variable success. It changed owners, but in 1939 burnt to ashes…
.
On December 28, 1885, the Lumière brothers, Auguste and Louis, presented their ten short documentaries/actualities, less than a minute long each, for the public consideration for the first time. Since then much has changed. Cinema stopped being silent. Filmmakers started creating colored pictures. Actors became recognizable and admired. Nickelodeons transformed into picture palaces.
In 1985, the audience paid for such kind of entertainment for the very first time. In 1927, the world saw (and listened to) the first talkie ‘The Jazz Singer’ by Michael Curtiz. The same year the first Academy Awards honored ‘Wings’ with the title of the Best Picture. In 1928, Walt Disney created Mickey Mouse. Concerning the Oscars, 1935 was marked by Frank Capra’s ‘It Happened One Night’ being first to win the grand slam. In 1975, Steven Spielberg directed the so-called first blockbuster ‘Jaws’. In 1995, Pixar and Walt Disney Pictures made the first completely computer-generated full-length feature film ‘Toy Story’. In 2009, Jim Cameron gave us a ticket to wonderful Pandora in incredible quality 3D, and Kathryn Bigelow proved that women can also be great directors.
So many dates and turning points are omitted here, but what is more important is what cinema has done for us: it influenced and inspired us, it brought us together, it made us think. Although many people believe it’s just an industry to mop up money, the silver screen remains one of the most beautiful, versatile and unbelievable arts.
.
.I know that you share my passion for it, that’s why ~

Being volunteer is not a little thing. I remember my childhood and first steps into voluterism .. it was like a bliss that finding. I could help, participate, been active in so many fields since then.

Being volunteer is a task that everyone need to try!

There are thousands and thousands of problems that occupy are world today, d strategy for making our place better for our future generations is to get involved. The money are not the problem, we always don’t have them, satiric sarcasm that comes from my country. But if u try to forget the money that u’ll see incredible things in d circles where people work hard and promote d volunteers benefits.

I have experience in volunteering over 10 years already, but in my skin I feel like I just start d long distance work. So many things can be changed in my surrounding and I just know that this is d only way. Working with different target groups, trying to make small steps for brighter tomorrow is good decision, when u’re volunteer u can practice d things that u know but learn so much more.

International Volunteer Day Message from Nigel Hiller-Garvey on Vimeo.

The program that I start using after my high school is well known in d youth area, it’s called Youth in action and engaged a lot of youngsters from all Europe.Youth in Action is the EU Programme for young people aged 15-28 (in some cases 13-30). It aims to inspire a sense of active citizenship, solidarity and tolerance among young Europeans and to involve them in shaping the Union’s future.

Youth in Action is a programme for all! It promotes mobility within and beyond the EU borders, non-formal learning and intercultural dialogue, and encourages the inclusion of all young people, regardless of their educational, social and cultural background.

Youth in Action is the successor of the YOUTH Programme (2000-2006). Building on the experience of the previous programmes for youth, Youth in Action is the result of a large consultation with the different stakeholders in the youth field and aims to respond to the evolutions and needs of young people at European level.

With a total budget of 885 million euros for seven years (2007-2013), the Programme supports a large variety of activities for young people and youth workers through five Actions.

There are many sectors where if u have d good will to participate. U can take part in d general activism, but also help and work with sectors like:children, civil society, culture & sports, education, emergency relief etc. May issues are waiting for u to become aware and join d new era of (r)evolution. Advocacy, corporate volunteering, infrastructure, management, policy, research, senior volunteers, vacation volunteering, volunteering for development, young volunteers an so ON!

Fight the famine, feed the future

#bad11Since 2oo7 onwards, this happens every year. People from all over the world who write in their blogs every year to promote different topics and therefore seek to make positive changes in awareness and in improving social standards, mutual understanding and the possibility of natural and pure lifestyle. This year on Blog Action Day bloggers chose the food theme, and today is the day when bloggers united using d hash tag # BAD11 analyze all aspects of food. From d moment what do we have on our menu, the future of d production of healthy food, using organic products to protect the resources we have. why this year’s theme is food is because the date coincides with World Food Day, and d cooperation with d bloggers was evident given that the topic has a lot to say and so much more specifically to change.

When you have food as theme, we could write about it from several aspects as it penetrated further into the structure of what we think is important. If we take the social aspect of food, then you really should be worried about all territorial settlements on the planet where people are dying just because of lack of sufficient food for all. Essential not want to get into this segment, analyzing the results produced by this problem, on the contrary, I would like to make a parallel with some of the modern civilizations which are shed daily tones produced food, which although as part of d capital society, before undergoing throughout the economic chain that ended as waste. At the moment а thought or story comes to my mind d one that Mother Teresa once before landing from an airplane, flight attendants asked them to give all the food that remained on board so she could be able to give it to those in need at the moment, the hungry. ..

On the other hand if we thought about food, we could think of how often we eat, what kind/ type of food we consume, how we eat regularly, do we have a time table for food and so on. It is very important to emphasize that, no matter how dynamic life that we live and how irresponsible and stick in the other aspects of existence we are, feeding and using natural foods are an important element in healthy living and responsibility to ourselves and our health.
[Although do not practice regularly, but would emphasize]
making medical examinations is very important when we talk about diet and time of balancing the body and the products that are consumed.

I would like to mention as a factor that personally observe the use of foods that are of natural origin and of course with enough vitamins and proteins needed by the body to fail to complete daily activities shall be imposed.

Certainly today vegetarians are strictly satisfied. What we all support is d diet which we practice and d way how we food. I know it’s difficult to have such a diet (tried it by myself), but if not regularly at least once per time is nice to be purified from various calories receive the daily diet, just with that vegetarian kitchen that is not too difficult for d organism, and yet meets the needs of the body.

That tragic aspect that this year the commune of bloggers raises is that the surge in commodity prices and changes in the economy doing in these two years ’10-11′ the poverty and hunger to increase. According to the World Bank further 70 million people face d particular problems.
It is regrettable between ‘hungry’ to find themselves producers of food, but the fact is that they need to make purchases of other products which they produce and the money they earn with their products is not enough for subsistence.

What have you eat today? – Are there on the streets again today children that begging for bread? – .. Africa can sometimes be much closer to your eyes than you think ..

– In d laboratories d New potatoes are cooked, they should smell like onions and look like a watermelon. Forgot to say, yes, the will grow on trees!

Canada, Germany and Great Britain meet its obligations and participated with their aid, while France and Italy still have a job to do. To make sure the public knows it!

#twitterartexhibit in Norway

This is call for artists organized by the Norwegian colorist – expressionist artist @DavidSandumArt. He send this call on twitter for A real life Twitter art exhibit! and his main idea was to getter artists from all over, who will create card/s with their style of work and support the organizer in making a big exhibit in the city library in Moss, Norway. The library (bibliotek in Norwegian) is located in a part of town called Møllerbyen that used to be part of the towns industry (years ago).

I really like his idea, because he wants to make the expo, and our art works to be for sale but the money to be used in charity. The prize for all the cards will be the same, that was also one of my basic motivation to participate. And also 140 artist (the first idea), call via twitter in 140 characters, the final result, amazing idea that I waned to support.

..so far for the #twitterartexhibit he received art from 173 artists (few days left until the deadline, November 27th, and the wall that is made inside the Bibliotek it will be able to show 240 cards.

In the beginning I didn’t know what to send from the things that I constantly made here in France but most of them didn’t fit the size, so I decide to make one week of dynamic creative producing so I can have few works from which I can choose which to send.

I made about 20 paintings/ cards, acrylic on paper-board and for final there were 3 that were telling we are the one that we’ll go. The other one that are part of this collection (private for now) you can see it here ~ #artExhibit.

This are my friends, my characters that will present @kihuPotru on this expo.

I_Go. I; I_Go. II; I_Go. III;

In meanwhile, I had one more idea in my mind. Sometimes I made art/ painting workshops with the kids that are coming in the association Jacques Prevert. For me was perfect idea, in perfect time. I was doing my cards when the kids were inspired to paint with me also. I didn’t wait a second after I had 4-5 kids around me. I take big paper and give to all of them one color in big 1l bottle. Every kid was having one color in his hand and brush in the other.

I explain to them that I want to have one big abstract painting made by all of them in 140 seconds. My idea was also in 140 moves, I had already 9 kids on which I was trying to tell to don’t make more then 10 moves, so I can reach the number 140, not all of them listen and will stop with 10 moves. 🙂

It was workshop like start, go, go, go..STOP!

Buterfly WingButterfly Wing

zen_mOOnzen_mOOn

We repeat the process on 3 big paper-boards. For the new paper they were changing their colors, so they can have opportunity to express them selves in different way. I catch that in the box with brushes there were also some teeth brushes and some of the kids in their hands were having them. Pretty experimental for me, so happy about the idea for the exhibition as for the idea of this action painting workshop were the kids were making collective pieces of art.

(the post is written two days ago, firstly on my other blog on Macedonian)

In time, everyone should watch The Day After Peace

Nick Fraser, Commissioning Editor, Factuals, BBC

Good day. I hope you’re well, peaceful .. to Be in peace, topic for which I’ll pounce few words so I can continue keeping myself peacefully. I have written before about this topic, for this this day, mostly I’m talking about. It would be boring to start rows with the rules should that should be follow in order to live in harmony with people, animals, nature ..

Today, when is global day of peace we can find everywhere links to articles and posts made by people who share their own experiences on how to live with peace and understanding. How to nurture human relationships, to carry about friends, neighbors, loved ones. How to learn to tolerate, to accept different cultures and so on. (Not to turn into some basic text for human ethics)

The idea of the organisation called  Peace one Day aims to raise the awareness and its campaign to create one day of Global World Peace on 21 September 2010. For now, ‘International day of Peace’ is on 23 place on Google search [not any more :D], and it shows that this day is not so little information for the people around the world.
The organization or association of citizens, whatever, like you want, Peace One Day organize various activities for this day. Collect donations, blog about, inform. We want everyone to raise awareness of how important the peace like whole for the people is, for everyone, no concessions. Until tonight google ratings will certainly be better if we see that just a few hour ago it was on 38 place.

Peace one Day was created by filmmaker, Jeremy Gilley who has a mission to establish the first ever annual day of global ceasefire and non-violence with a fixed calendar date; and so 21 September was born. Fantastically, the 192 member states of the United Nations share Jeremy’s vision and unanimously adopted 21 September as an annual day of global ceasefire and non-violence. The 21 September is about creating peace between nations and importantly about non-violence in our homes, communities and schools, making this day relevant to us all.

From this organization, that of the founder, @ JeremyGilley million ideas coming how this day could be develop in future. From day to pass week, then in month, in life where as aware people we try to keep the peace where it is and to try to change the situation in the war zones, civilizations, nations, traditions. ..

In collaboration with Puma, he inspires people to organize football tournaments, very simple celebration of this day. People from all over are running today, rejoice, animate their dearest.
To be so peaceful, so you could all play football, “said Jeremy in one of the many magazines where he was speaking this days.

I said I supported this event, as it should, as it’s right. I play football with some of the kids at the school where I work. Not much, but enough to laugh and go in the cars of their parents happy. I think this is enough, from physical aspect this is very, very. I mean football! 🙂

It would be so GOoD if is so peaceful everywhere, I’m sending positive thoughts in the places in this seed of planet where the kids don’t sleep, their mothers cry and their fathers, one by one they are gone ..

Let every day be Peace day!

PeaceOneDay on twitter
PeaceOneDay on facebook

last news from their page is: @PeaceOneDay have been awarded a Peace Prize! [link]

I use to write before for the World Peace also, I support in the last year the International Day of Peace or 21 September. I don’t know why this organization is making new date for the same aim but from other side is good that there will be two days in which the main stream mediums will speak about Global Peace.

Today, 21 of September I decide to participate in the International PEACE day. I think that we should push for Peace every day, and that the idea for Peace in the world should be implant in our way of leaving, so we can construct positive things that will be reflection of Peace in ourselves and in the environment in which we leave.

To participate like active citizen in the society is not a little thing. Maybe is little for us like individuals but if you do good simple things and live your normal life you’ll be part of the people who stand for World Peace. Once when I was on exhibition for World Peace and helping kids and youngsters with physical and mental disabilities, with part of their art works and art works from one art artist from Poland after the opening in a conversation with the artist I told him that I fight for Peace in the world. We open new discussion after I say fight, cause the Peace is everything except Fight. I wanted to use the word in other sense but even when you want to use this word in positive way it doesn’t have sense. So we decide that it’s better to use the word push than fight in this situation. Cause the idea of this was that me, Him and all the others we are not fighting for Peace, but we Push for Peace.

“Peace Day should be devoted to commemorating and strengthening the ideals of peace both within and among all nations and peoples…This day will serve as a reminder to all peoples that our organization, with all its limitations, is a living instrument in the service of peace and should serve all of us here within the organization as a constantly pealing bell reminding us that our permanent commitment, above all interests or differences of any kind, is to peace.”
