#poetry, #God & amazon.com

.dear friends, tonight I want to open a discussion on at least two (or three) points that provoked me in a status that Richard (poet from Ghana) post on his facebook profile. mainly I want to open topic:

“this is d time to release a bestseller. this is d moment to write like never before.”

– for me this is a broad topic, especially when it binds to amazon.com or is connected with book sales and popularity by being purchased instead of what for me is basic, starting point, a foundation or core of why I write. it would go like this: is it better to be read by (some)one to whom I’ll do a complete change of his life or to be purchased by billions or millions, and not to be read from any of them?

happy-600x450

:poetry for me has always been something intimate, moment of confrontation with myself, with my own powers of expression of oneness, but also try to subconsciously release d message to d others: where are u, what u do, is it nice to go/ be there as is for u, do u think/ need to snow to d others out there and do u need them to be in the same place/ emotion/ vision/ state as u are now and are u able/ skillful to do that correctly? of course, writing is much more than that, especially at d moment when I’m recognize in the Balkans as a writer/ poet that express himself trough “socially engaged” poetry and speaks by its own verses for all those problems that surround us, and possible solutions to them … as such I do not think that we need to be popular or to expect to write to be a bestseller authors, but to write about that what is burning like lava in us, what in our head as the storm that is passing by, we need to write about d thing that like rainbow in us is making birth of something unseen – some state of existence that we haven’t recognize until now. and on d end (we should not think about): this should be sold (it must be sold – it’s bestseller PEOPLE, don’t u recognize it?!), at amazon.com or no matter where other will be shown?!?

:poetry has always been meditation, personal reflection or message for loved – why you should we sell (why should we put that thing in first place), does it worth, do we want to be worthwhile, why should we value our place in d “top list” more then d important of our current state while we perform or create?

divergent-1000x625

and that third party, which also attaches me is the one related to God, then God must help us if we are good, God (must) is always with us, it is upon us and sees and helps us in everything we do, even if we enroll in notebook unnecessary feelings and we think that we write a bestseller? do we need God to be d “best writers ever” – even that I like d story with Allen Ginsberg and his devoting to d eastern religions… (that is totally other topic)

so let’s start, what do u think?! ^_^

btw. this is d status update by mu friend:

Amazon.com didn’t give me the talent to write. God did. If Amazon is going to pay authors, basically those who enroll their books in kindle unlimited and borrows based on a reader’s length of read, that can’t ruin my talent. I read a couple of posts from some authors giving up on writing, because of this. Excuse me for a minute. Amazon didn’t create you. Inasmuch as Amazon has been so helpful to millions of authors on the global spectrum, it’s time to adjust your tactics. Don’t allow this to impede your passion. This is the time to release a bestseller. This is the moment to write like never before. As for me I’m writing my next bestseller.

in my way, d story will go on like this:

are u sure my friend?

are u sure my friend?

.if there is good poetry/ writing God will not help u, ur words are powers that attract human mind/ soul and that’s how they become interesting/ popular for d people around u/ world.. trust urself, trust ur skills in writing, trust ur emotions, trust ur pictures and mental/ mind/ verbal structures that u create with ur words/ thoughts/ talent – then God -maybe- (“if he recognize ur will/ commitment and hard work”) he will help a bit in all that “storm”, then still my friend, we are all strong enough to push d things around with our spirit, d only inner & outdoor source that is helping us even that we are not aware of it powerful score!

ooo God forgive me that I was devilish with u, but our church nowadays is telling us that yoga is evil work – c’mon my friends 21 century is more then all those old books – we can believe them in a way/ moment/ situations but still – we are d creators, and if we want this world changed (in good way) we are d one that should work on that – not God, not amazon or whateva`.

okk

GO(o)D -_-

.and we need to remember, whenever we’re among ur own, they will always stroke our shoulder and tell us that we’re d best, it’s like that: “u’re right my friend / brother”, but we should not be led solely by them, not only by their passions / views, but because, pls – we need to look around, there’re signals all around us too that may prove really what d real story is actually, although at that point we might ignore it!

– and on d end: do we really need to be popular in this disgusting world or should we changed it first?! PEACE OUT!

:тime for new Samsara. year 2012

“Visually breathtaking. Unlike anything you will ever see.” IndieWire

“The stunning new trailer for Samsara offers a tantalizing peek at the dozens of exotic locations visited by the filmmakers in their quest to capture the ‘ever turning wheel of life’ on Earth.”

If you are familiar with the stunning and transcendent visual poetry of Ron Fricke’s non-narrative documentary BARAKA (1992), his follow up film SAMSARA might interest you as well!  He filmed everything with 70mm film so I will no doubt be gorgeous.  I would write more about this, but part of the magic of Fricke’s films are that they have to be seen and experienced, and preferably in a giant theatre.  Here is the trailer.

A spiritual love-story set in the majestic landscape of Ladakh, Himalayas. Samsara is a quest; one man’s struggle to find spiritual Enlightenment by renouncing the world. And one woman’s struggle to keep her enlightened love and life in the world. But their destiny turns, twists and comes to a surprise ending.

Release date August 23, 2012. Samsara – Filmed over a period of five years in twenty-five countries on five continents, and shot on 70mm film, Samsara transports us to the varied worlds of sacred grounds, disaster zones, industrial complexes, and natural wonders. “Samsara” is a sanskrit word meaning “continuous flow”; it is the repeating cycle of birth, life, death and rebirth (reincarnation) within Hinduism, Buddhism, Bön, Jainism, Yoga and Sikhism.

SAMSARA is a Sanskrit word that means “the ever turning wheel of life” and is the point of departure for the filmmakers as they search for the elusive current of interconnection that runs through our lives.  Filmed over a period of almost five years and in twenty-five countries, SAMSARA transports us to sacred grounds, disaster zones, industrial sites, and natural wonders.  By dispensing with dialogue and descriptive text, SAMSARA subverts our expectations of a traditional documentary, instead encouraging our own inner interpretations inspired by images and music that infuses the ancient with the modern.

:I, Pet Goat II, indeed an esoteric symbolism

A story about the fire at the heart of suffering. Bringing together dancers, musicians, visual artists and 3d animators, the film takes a critical look at the events of the past decade that have shaped our world. Heliofant is an independent animation studio based in Montreal. These seek to create films and experimental works very sensitive. Their first film I, II pet goat is a perfect example. 7 minutes of splendid animation illustrating with great sadness the image of fire that burns in the heart of suffering. To watch and share.

“I, Pet Goat II” is a computer animated video that is loaded with silent messages and esoteric symbolism. While the movie has no dialogue, each symbol tells a piece of a story that covers the fields of history, politics, occult conspiracies and spirituality.

Produced by the Canadian production crew Heliofant, I, Pet Goat II is a short animated movie that quickly went viral across the internet. Praised for its visual feats and its interesting imagery, the video however left many puzzled about the meaning of its symbolism. Politics, conspiracies and false flag operations are mixed with esoteric spirituality and occult symbolism in one big mesmerizing mind bender. Here’s the video.

After watching the video, many might say something like “What the hell did I just watch?”. The story is somewhat non-linear and there are many cryptic and enigmatic elements in the movie. I won’t claim to fully decode every single symbol-filled frame of the video, but many of the messages are easily understandable due to rather heavy-handed symbolism.

In general, the movie appears to be about the political and social climate of the past decade – complete with puppet Presidents, false flag terror and mind-controlling sorcerers. Then, through the following of a Christ figure, we leave all the sadness behind to enter a new, sunny era. In short, the story is about the triumph of spiritual enlightenment against the forces of darkness. Let’s look at the movie and at some of its many details.

more precise on this video [here]

In Conclusion

I, Pet Goat II has received widespread acclaim for its technical prowess and its original storytelling. Although there is no narration or dialogue, an elaborate story is delivered using the most ancient and universal language in History: Symbolism. Through symbols, the movie manages to deliver an acerbic critique of today’s Western Civilization, to describe its numerous evils and even to predict its inevitable downfall. More importantly, a thorough decoding of the movie’s symbolism reveals a powerful message of spiritual enlightenment based on ancient Mysteries. While this esoteric aspect of the movie might not be understood by many, it is at the core of the movie and is presented as the ultimate solution to the evils and corruption of today’s world. The movie’s conclusion is therefore a very personal one: Either YOU become a pet goat with a 666 bar-code on your forehead or YOU become a Christ figure with a third eye on your forehead. This notion of personal enlightenment is definitively a Gnostic one and is common to most esoteric schools of thoughts in all civilizations.

Agreeing or disagreeing with the movie’s spiritual conclusion is a question of personal beliefs, but it is nevertheless obvious that those behind I, Pet Goat II are “in the know” about all things occult, esoteric and even conspiratorial. Each scene has a profound underlying story behind it – whether it be historical, political or spiritual – that would take pages and pages of words to thoroughly explain. Therein lie the power of symbols: They can simply be admired for their aesthetic beauty or they can, when fully understood, reveal a profound story about humanity, God and everything in between.

Second Annual Worldwide Event

Includes Musicians and Poets Striving for Global Change

This Year’s 100 Thousand Poets for Change Adds Musicians;

600 Events Planned in More Than 110 Countries

_____

Santa Rosa, Calif. (July XX, 2012) – September 29, 2012 marks the second annual 100 Thousand Poets for Change, an event that brings poets, artists and musicians (new this year) around the world together to call for environmental, social, and political change. Voices will be heard globally through concerts, readings, workshops, flash mobs and demonstrations that each focus on their specific area of concern, within the framework of peace and sustainability, such as war, ecocide, racism and censorship.

“Peace and sustainability is a major concern worldwide, and the guiding principle for this global event,” said Michael Rothenberg, Co-Founder of 100 Thousand Poets for Change. “It’s amazing to see how many people have joined in around the world to speak out for causes they believe in, and to see so much heart and creativity expressed in their diverse approaches to this event.”

Participants are hoping, through their actions and events, to seize and redirect the political and social dialogue of the day and turn the narrative of civilization towards peace and sustainability. Those that want to get involved can visit www.100tpc.com to find or plan an event near them.

“This grass roots movement has arisen largely due to the impact of social media,” said Co-Founder Terri Carrion. “We’re really excited about the events we’ve got planned this year.”

#streetart as part of our history

.

“What exactly is street art?”

It is a visionary art form that is usually developed in open public areas and even though it is met with negative connotation, it offers freedom of expression. Utilizing tools as simple as spray paint, ink and markers, street artists are making an unbelievable stamp in the history of art.

Art In The Streets, will serve as an eye opener to the world, offering an array of uniquely designed graffiti and street art. the exhibition provides various sculptures, paintings, photographs and other distinctive art forms by 50 of the most dynamic street artists.

.

OUTSIDE IN: THE STORY OF ART IN THE STREETS

Like it or not, “Art in the Streets” was one of the most important things to happen to the art world in the last few years, and one of the biggest things ever to happen to graffiti and street art. Director Alex Stapleton takes us inside the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles’ famous exhibition.

From Shepard Fairey to Lee Quiñones, Swoon, Futura, and Mister Cartoon; from Revok to Martha Cooper, Invader and more, the show that took place from April 17-August 8, 2011, followed graffiti and street art as far back as Basquiat and even some of the gang graffiti in the 1940s and 50s in LA. Graffiti and street art are mainstays of the high art world now, and this documentary aims to show how MOCA contributed to that fact.

For the record, I thought the show was tastefully done with what highly controversial subject matter they had to work with.

Enjoy the documentary, it’s perfect for weekend 😉
